Our Verdict
Finding a stable place for a larger device in a vehicle can be a major challenge, which is why I tested the Universal 4-13 Inch Tablet and Phone CD Slot Mount. By taking advantage of the often-ignored CD player slot, this mount turns a forgotten dashboard feature into a highly functional workstation for your mobile devices.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality is surprisingly robust, featuring a tension-based mechanism that grips firmly into the CD slot without wobbling. The 360° rotation allows for precise angle adjustments, and the materials feel durable enough to withstand daily vibration and temperature fluctuations inside a car.
Day-to-Day Experience
Installation is incredibly intuitive, requiring no tools or adhesives; you simply slide it into the slot and tighten the knob. Once secured, switching between landscape and portrait orientation is smooth, providing a reliable hands-free experience for maps or media.
This mount is perfect for frequent travelers and commuters who want a rock-solid, non-intrusive way to mount tablets or phones in their vehicle.
Final Thoughts
Given its versatility and ease of setup, this product is easily one of the best car accessories I have tested recently. With a stellar 4.9/5 rating and a reasonable $34.90 price tag, it is a smart investment for anyone looking to modernize their car's dashboard.
